I just had to sand and buff my head lights again, they have been getting yellow looking at the top. Usually a quick polish brings them right back but I wanted to really clean them up to make them look new thats why I sanded them. So my question is, does putting a wax or sealent on the head lights cause this yellowing to happen?

I'm thinking about getting the Uber Foam Gun. How well will it work with Meguir Gold class soap? I have a ton of that stuff and need to use it. Also, it can spray just normal water out too, correct?

tattoo, I would say no the wax should not yellow them I would say chances are the sun will discolor them before a wax would.

gorge, you can use just about any soap and any ratio of the soap and water so pick one up and enjoy playing around with the car washes.

Got a quick question, have some nice build-up on my exhaust (SPT, nothing anodized or anything like that) that I want to get rid of...
What's the best way of getting it back to a nice clean, polished look? |

DetailerDomain your advice here is amazing. Forget Mequairs and Eagle One going to be ordering one of your kits asap
On your 3LG wash kit, can I use 1Z Lack Finish Detail Spray to lube the clay or should I use the Adam's Detail spray? Also do you recommend the 1Z Einszett Starter Kit if I plan on using it with a machine? Last edited by Candor; 08-09-2009 at 09:23 PM. |

DetailersDomain,
I just ordered a menzerna polishing kit with the PC 7424XP, I plan on doing a 2 step polish on my paint. I just realized that i have a pin stripe along the sides of my car that came factory, should i just tape it off or polish over? ~Thanks |

Also try to stay on top of your washes, you don't want to let the water spots bake on the car. |

DD,
Can I claybar my car right after i've washed/rinsed while it's still wet (and spray lube where needed) instead of drying it and then spraying it down with clay lube? ~Thanks |

yes you can just make sure you are under the shade and its cool so the water doesn't dry on the car and give you water spots.

I have a black 05 wagon that desperately needs some cleaning/polishing/waxing(swirls, light scratches/grim). Here's what I was thinking to get:
7424xp Menzerna/Einszett kit Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Adam's Glass Cleaner + glass mf towels 1Z Einszett Anti-Insekt Bug + Tar Remover Adam's Car Wash Adam's Clay Bar and Detail Spray Would SIP/PO106 included in the kit work well on black paint or there are better options? Anything else I'd need but missed? Thanks,Alex |
