Default Dyno Dynamics Results for cobb cai, stromung mid and ex., and safc

I just came back from a dyno day organized at Adrenalin Motorsports in MA. I was there just out of curiosity and had no real plan in my mind. Just wanted to run the car and see what numbers I would get..
Anyway, I just wanted to share this info even though it is
common knowledge what numbers to expect with these type of mods.

Car: 2000 2.5 RS sedan
Mods: Cobb CAI, Stromung SS mid-pipe, and exahust, and
S-AFC.
S-AFC settings:

High Thrtl Settings:
3000 : - 5%
3500 : -10%
4000 : -11%
4500 : -12%
5000 : -13%
6000 : -15%

Low Thrtl Settings set all to 0%

Low Thrtl. point: 25%
High Thrtl. point: 75%

Results:
HP: 118.3 @ 5500RPM
Torque: 125 @ 4000RPM

Cheers,
TSDScooby

What kind of gain is that over stock?? It's to bad somebody didn't do a stock run on that same dyno because without it there is no way to see any kind of gains or anything.

What kind of 1/4 mile do you run now?

Unfortunately its not much use to most people without a stock curve, or at least the brand and dyno type used. That way people can at least try and compare.

Yup. I knew I was missing that.
Excuse my ignorance I thought the brand was Dyno Dynamics... I will get that info and post it.

a 2.5 RS (not my car) stock posted 105 HP the same day I did this on the same dyno...

"a 2.5 RS (not my car) stock posted 105 HP the same day I did this on the same dyno..."

I wonder why some dyno's show like 120hp stock... My Ford Focus could put out 105hp to the wheels stock and 115 hp with my mods, yet I know my RS is quicker.

My stock 2.5GT dyno'd at 106.6hp a couple months ago on this dyno, and dyno'd at 100.5hp today on this dyno. So, basically you're looking at somewhere around 100-105hp for a stock 2.5L car.

Edit: nomorefocus posted while I was typing. To answer his question, the numbers are different depending on the type of dyno used. The dyno at Adrenalin Motorsport is a Dyno Dynamics Low Boy, which is a load-bearing eddy-current type dyno. Load-bearing dynos will always produce lower numbers than an inertia type dyno (such as a Dynojet or Dynapak), and load-bearing dynos are supposed to be more accurate than inertia type dynos.

Thanks for sharing the data!

One thing I want to say is:
97 GT is DOHC
00 RS is SOHC (supposed more torque??)

True, but the peak power is the same on both engines, and even peak torque is only off by 4ft-lb according to the factory ratings.

You want a stock curve? You got one! I did a stock run on my 2000 RS today, here are the charts:

Your graphs aren't coming through for some reason, Marc. I noticed the same thing in the NESIC thread.

That's strange. They should work now.
