Yeah... that should be the new motto for NASIOC, seriously. I stopped reading all the threads b/c of people bitching that they didn't make a stripped down track car. One guy actually said "I don't need crumble zones, air bags, etc. b/c I'm that good of a driver" when he was biching about the, what, 40 lbs the new chassis picked up? I find little to fault the new car for... I can't wait to drive one.

I'm kinda regretting jumping on the Limited... having the hatch would be real nice. I'd have my 2005 WRX paid off and would be looking to trade up right now. Ah well, I got the last of the "best" GDs, so I guess I got a piece of Subaru history.

Because it's different, plain and simple. Subaru went more "mainstream" as opposed to sticking out like a sore thumb with styling b/c they, GASP, are trying to make some money

I can't wait to see one in person. I've seen a couple WRX hatches around the Valley, and they look good. Sedans too, but I really like the hatches.

yea, it's definitely more mainstream now. the wrx, i think, is pretty ugly for a subaru, and not too great looking. the sti is about 30X better than the wrx though, and i'm still disappointed in it. it's grown on me, but i've never really been a hatch kinda guy. the taillights are ugly...generic..maybe it's the whole rear end. If the tails stopped at the hatch, and didn't do the gay audi/civic shape, i'd look a lot better, but the machine gets me very excited; almost worth trading in my RS, almost. maybe if they made a coupe...

Meh, still not sold yet thought I was but reminds me of a gti or mazda. I don't think the small improvements justify the look yet. And what hp on 91??

I'm assuming that the 305 HP and 290 tq was all on 93 octane. So their figures were all bull**** to begin with. The car is down right fugly. Why do you think I rushed to get an 07 STi

I rushed to get one of the old STi before the Ford Focus on steroids came out . Its just horrible looking, nothing appealing about it what so ever .

I on the other like the hatch look. It's a major step up from the WRX Hatch and I like the fact it has SI Drive! I can't wait to see/hear the aftermarket exhaust that will come out on the market for this bad boy since its dual. The wider fenders are bad ass, the front is aggressive and I can't wait to see how it rallies this coming season. Only draw back is I saw the new Focus on the road, the front of the Focus looks like the rear of the STi! WTF?!

The new minimum octane requirements are 91 AKI if I recall correctly. This means it made those numbers on piss water.

I've had a dealer in town call me twice eager to buy my 06 - I'll tell him I'll do a straight swap!

so your dealer (which doesnt even have an invoice yet) is trying to sell you a vehicle that they dont have for less then msrp. maybe if it was an old age unit and maybe if the vehicle has been out for a few years. but something new is going to have dealer markup and or their going to sell it for retail.

a fully loaded (bbs, satallite, nav) is going to run about 39k and change. a stripper model should chime in around 34.9-35.9k
