Default Difference between the A, B and C maps

I haven't owned a WRX since '03 but am planning on an '08 STi. I've been looking into Enginuity (engine management has come so far since I owned a subbie!).

I've been messing around with Enginuity using a stock DBW STi map and a Stage 1 STi DBW map. So far I pretty much get everything. One thing I'm not getting though is why there are "A", "B", and "C" version of the fueling, timing and boost maps?

Thanks!
Doc

First, make sure you download and install the latest Enginuity ECU and logger definitions:
ECU: http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=3029
logger: http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=3030

It looks like you are looking at an 07 USDM STi ROM. For target boost and initial wg duty, for this ECU, only 2 of the 3 maps are potentially used (this is reflected in the new ecu defs). The 3rd table (renamed "unused" in the new defs), is there for compatibility with those who own Accessports and are using Enginuity to tune with.

We do not know exactly when every multiple table (A,B, etc.) is switched. If it were known, then they would be renamed as such. In most cases, only one table is active. If you wish to learn more about this, check out the description in the logger def post above for the map ratio extended parameters which will allow you to determine the active table(s) for some tables by logging and also explains the potential ramping behavior.

None of the CANbus models (08s+ or 07+ FXT/LGT) are supported by Enginuity or Ecuflash. We have to wait until Colby of Ecuflash comes up with a flashing method and a new tactrix cable. Until then, no support for these models is possible through the open source tuning methods.
