Default just installed vf39 on a 02 wrx CEL

ok so i just put in a vf39 on my 2002 wrx and i took it out for a drive. As i am going everything is fine and then i came to a stop. I wanted to try to see how fast it takes off and as i am working up to the red line area car stalls for a moment and check engine flashed and then i just changed to 2nd and it does the same thing as i am lurking up the redline area..i was just wondering if its normal...

I am running cobb accessport v2
vf39
07 sti BLUEs injectors
Walbro Fuel pump
catless xs power 3in dp and exhaust.
ssautochrome tmic.
cobb intake.
Running VF39-S ACN 91oct MAP

Called a bigger turbo. Read the codes with the AP and tell us what they are.

My guess is you should get tuned.

I'd suggest you get a protune. My car gained over 30whp with a custom protune over OTS map.

fubarud, nice whp!

Want my honest opinion? Dump the AP for like $300 and get tuned via OpenSource and the go

hahaha so...you guys are saying once i get it tuned..everything will be alrgiht from there on out? i am ready for a tune too lol..i just wanted to make sure everything was ok before i take it in. btw my cluster gauge is acting hella weird..the speedo is kinda bouncing like when im driving 60 mph..it would be boucing from 58-61 mph on the speedo and the temp gauge goes up and down a little..but on the AP everything is fine. lol..there is CEL 1,2,3,4 cycliders misfireing.

Try clearing the codes, better yet do a battery reset. And clear the codes with the cobb. Make sure your map is a base map and not a realtime map. Plus is the cobb map you are running correct for those injectors?

Oh and dont beat on it at all. I saw when you got to redline you started having problems. Cobbs map is just good enough to get you to your tuner without blowing up. Its not a actual performance map.

good advice..i'll try that when i get off of work...but i know what your saying about the maps..i just wanted to know if it was normal..that it doing this until i get a protune...lotta people are saying its not normal..but some are saying that it is..and that i just need to get a pro tune and bam..fixed..and ++ horspower.

The battery reset is a good effort, but getting a tune would be the best thing.
Let the tuner look at everything. Then you both go out and run it hard as hell, to ensure that there are no more issues.
