Default Is warranty cover at any dealer??

Hello, i have a problem right now with 5ht gear that keeps popping out. My car is a my 2000 RS and it only as 23k on it.

I live in Dominican Republic since Subaru dealers here did not bringht the RS and i did not buy the car here, they said that they would not take it under warranty. So my question is: if i take the car to any other country (lets say Puerto Rico wich is really cheap and near). Would the Subaru dealer there has to fix it under warranty or would i still have to pay for the work?

The car was originally purchased in Massachuset.

Sorry but you are out of luck. Taking a car out of the country actually voids the warrenty. The warrenty will only be valid in the country you bought it in. Look in your warrnty book and owners manual it's in there some where.

Taking your Subaru out of the country doesn't void your warranty. However, given that your car was purchased in the US,

Any and all repairs must be performed by an Authorized SUBARU dealer located in the United States.
I don't think Puerto Rico is in the United States, yet. However, you might qualify under the Emergency Repairs exception. Note at the end that SOA has the right to inspect the repairs. However, it doesn't say you must present your car to a US SUABRU dealer for the inspection. Invite the Dealer down to the D.R.

I think it worth a call to a Subaru dealer in PR.

You might find they'll fix it.
