I was going to install my sti suspension on my 98 2.5RS today. But i ran into a problem fairly early on in the install. One of the 19mm bolts that i holding the stock struts in is completly rounded off. And the bolt on the other side won't budge either. I seriously need some help on how to get this bolt off. Because i dont pay to have a mechanic do this install or anything. It should be pretty easy for me as long as i can get that bolt off. I dont care if i have to break the bolt to get it off, I plan on replacing it with a new one once i get it off.
Here's a picture of what i'm talking about. Sorry it's not off of my car, but the bolt that the wrench is on with the arrow pointing to it, is the one i'm talking about that's rounded. Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

Get metrinch or use a propane torch to heat up the metal enough so it breaks free. A torque wrench helps too.

I just cut it off with a small hand saw. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement and how much? I temporarily put a little smaller replacement bolt that I purchased from Home Depot.

I did the EXACT same thing when I did my suspention. The only thing you can to is rip the bolt out or smack it out with a hammer, and wait a week to get replacements from the dealership. DON'T buy bolts from Home Depot or Ace...I wouldn't trust anything they use...not the same strength... Go to your dealership now...it's like $10/bolt, but they have to special order it...so it might take a week or so.

I have a spare set of stock strut mount bolts from when I put the camber adjustment bolts in the rear of my car. I will sell them for $15 plus shipping and I can overnight them.
