Exclamation 17" OEM UK Gold or Silver on a WR BLue WRX?? Opinions please.

I've made up my mind an decided to go the OEM UK "stock-look" route. I just haven't made up my mind on color. I have mixed feelings about the gold (so do my friends)..and I think the silver looks like a they way we OUR cars should have come off the boat (which is why this wheel, to me, is desirable). What do you think is the better choice? Keep in mind..I'm not looking to attract attention blah blah..it's just all about "the color." Thanks guys...

I have the silver ones in on my rex and love them.

On the color issue, I'd say go with the gold as the combination is excuisit!!!!

Remember, it's what you and only you think, not your friends as they don't own the car!

I saw a blue JDM rex at the docks with the silver ones and it looked hot as well!

If you don't want to attract attention, you don't want gold. I personally wouldn't want gold wheels under any circumstances.

Silver UK wheels look almost exactly like the stock 16's. Gold UK wheels look awesome!

These opinions apply to WR Blue cars only. I think the silver UK wheels look great on silver cars, but there's just something magical about gold on blue.

Gold on blue = classic! But if you don't like it, get the silver.

I am seriously looking at the UK OEM rims too. I prefer the silver however. The main attraction with these rims to me, is it being OEM and looks exactly like the stock rims, just that they are 17s.

I really want to add the 215/45R17 tires recommended by Subaru but un-fortunately the 215s do not have the same load rating as the stock 205/55R16 and is a bit smaller in diameter and hence would be adding "phantom miles" to the odometer.

The 225/45R17s maintain the diameter very closely and also maintain the load rating of the 205s perfectly but why does Subaru recommend the 215s then ?

Later...AH

Gold on blue is very cool. A lot more extroverted.

Silver on blue is more conservative.

They both look great.

IMO, since a WRX is going to attract attention anyway, and you can get the gold w/ tires for cheap @ vividracing, get the gold.

Thumbs up GOLD!

I think gold UK 17's would make your car look classy!

Silver on silver and yes... I still stick to my guns and say that GOLD UK's should go on the Red too! :monkey:

I decided that I'm gonna go silver. The gold is wonderful---but I'm trying to lay low and keep my record of no speeding tix in 4 years..plus I like the UK stock look too....thanks for all your opinions guys!! Now all I need is Eibachs and a set of KYBs (when they ever come out!)

Why not get both? Gold for the summer (golden summer), silver for the winter (silver winter) People can just look at your rims and know exactly what season it is
