Limited WRX STI Prodrive edit.

I swear I just saw this at the dealer in the service bay! A little flyer on the new WRX Sti model and in it saying they will be bringing in 1000 "special" PRODRIVE models. I had to read it a few times but am sure that I saw it say, "limited Prodrive edition". If thats the case, I'll start saving now because I will have one.

Yeah which dealer is that? Im here in miami and ive been to the subie dealer many times and have not seen that flyer yet. But thats a good sign if u saw a flyer saying that. It would be nice if they came out January of 2003. I was talking to a subie manager and he said they are coming out but not till about April or May of 2003. But i surely wasnt expecting for the special edition prodrive style to come out which has the huge rear spoiler,a deeper front bumper and a bigger hood scoop which in addition will probably have the bigger intercooler. Im for sure heading to the subie dealership tmw to have a talk with them. I missed out back in the days when the first integra type R came out but this time there is no way im going to miss out on the special edition Sti. Thanks for the info and keep us posted

I need to go back to the dealer in the next few days because shlt keeps happing after they warrentyed a new headgasket. I will pick up the flyer and scan it. This is no joke. I really saw this.

yes but you are in Miami Florida....the dealers here are basically clueless when it come to Subarus...hell they only sell like 15 a year

Is it gonna be the "WRX STi Prodrive Style" car that the Japanese site has on it? If so, I think it's all just styling, which is still not bad, but I don't think I'd want to spend that much extra on just looks. Either way, an STi is an STi...

I would bet a large sum of money those are brochures for another part of the world, like the UK. We just talked to the SOA people at sno*drift and while they pretty much confirmed the STi coming to the US they said they really don't have any idea what kind of numbers or when yet. I would be highly surprised if the Prodrive version came to the US. It's quite a bit more and just adds cosmetic features to the car.

Yes, this is true. I wonder if they will just offer it as like options. IE optional body styling kit. By the way, it seems like we are getting down to the wire as more and more DSM dealers are saying mid to late summer.

Anyway, thats neither here nor there, but its almost here.

for the evo to show up at the dealers in the summer the release date would have to be coming very very soon. And mitsu is still saying they hoep to have the car out 1qt 03.

Thats what Im talking about! I mean, if WE know of these rumors, then SOA surely knows them and then some! Maybe they are just keeping a much tighter lid on things. However, youd think that they might want to leak a little info here and there to keep our tongues wet and away from suckiling at the sweet nectar that is EVO!

isnt the WRX type WR just the regular WRX with a prodrive bodykit? There are 8 of those already here.
