I know what you mean. I was pissed b/c I just went to Autobacs and paid $7.99qt and then the next damn day I was in Auto-Zone and I saw it there for $6.99. I switched from Mobil1 and haven't looked back. I am however thinking of changing to 5w40. We'll see. I will PM you if lugee doesn't buy it.

You know, I think that there is better oil out there, like eneos for instance, but I am afraid of constantly changing oil. I already switched from Mobil1, I didn't burn it or anything I just saw so many horror stories about it. I don't burn RP either, but I am happy with it so far. What are the ups/downs of switching oil brands a few times?

I think the real danger is had from switching from synthetic to conventional, not from synthetic to synthetic. I mean, i would assume that you'd be okay switching as they generally have the same physical characteristics.

lemme know if you still have it btw.

exzactly what iiiezekieliii said. Changing different brands that are Synthetic to another Synthetic isn't a problem. I changed from mobil 1 to GTX to RP. So far the biggest difference I felt in the drive is the RP. Definately a feel in more power and it has been proven for power gain. I'll check out Eneos if I see it next time.

4 quarts in a gallon.

5 gallons * 4 = 20 quarts.

$120something / 20 = $6something per quart
