Default Question for people who have had a separate Torco map made...

Hey folks... I'm about to get a retune on friday, and I want to get a torco map this time around.

For those of you who have had their cars tuned for a torco map... were you able to just dump a can of it in on the dyno and go, or did you have to add some more fuel in at the same time to get everything to mix properly? I'm just wondering whether I'm going to need to bring a 5 gallon can of 91 with me so that I can get everything to blend well. I'm gonna have pretty limited dyno time, so I need the easiest drop 'n go solution I can find!

Also, what kind of results did you get? I've seen some dyno charts with good increases- nothing like race gas, mind you- but that's not what I'm expecting.

just dump it in! no need to pre mix or drive around to mix it. here is mine with 93 octane in blue and torco in red. huge difference! the chart doesnt show how much more responsive it is! nothing was changed betwen runs except the addition of torco and retuning. 1.5qts torco to 1/3rd of a tank of gas. (107 octane)

Excellent! That's what I like to hear. So you put in a can and a half? Or have you moved up into the big leagues of buying it by the 5-gallon drum?

5 gallon drum, but i have a small pump and a 1 gallon gas can that i pre measure with. torco rocks! the only negative i can come up with is that it leaves your exhaust tip orange.

amazingly, but this stuff does work
I put in full bottle with NY 93, and the IAM jumped to 16 from 8 (JDM STI map on 93 octane = pinging bad)

as a reference, I am getting IAM 16 @ Moscow RON98

the only downside is Torco puts this orange stuff on your spark plugs

I used to use torco and had a torco/96 tune and then a torco/100 tune.

Basically I'd fillup with 100 octane but if I had to make a long trip I'd haul a few cans of torco with me.

IMHO Torco's not worth it. Works? Yes, but it's JUST AS EXPENSIVE AS 100 octane if you're going to run in on a daily driver.

Even the most expensive alcohol kit out there (Perrin) will pay for itself in less than a year. Once you go meth, you don't get back
