Default clutch noises - 06/07 wrx

ok I am not sure if I'm paranoid right now or what but bare with me.

when you guys step on the clutch, does it make any sound at all? ever? if i leave it in neutral and step on it, and then let it go, it'll make a "tack" sound where the engagement point is. and if i'm driving and then need to shift back into neutral, it'll make a similar sound when I step down on the clutch.

not sure if i'm paranoid right now or not, but it seems like it got louder/more noticeable than before.

wat the hell is *tack*? if you are speaking of the sound, like what was mentioned before, a spring stretch or sqeak then it is your throw out bearing and it is normal, somewhat....

Do you mean squaking noise? I had one which came from one of the springs under the steering wheel... i sprayed some white greese on it and it went away... i also talked to the dealer and he said it is normal and most owners just live with it...

I live with it. My exhuast has drowned it out quite a bit

i had a tack issue too but i found out it was from my exhuast the borla hush... cause it was rubbing against the differential... if you have an exhaust check for clearance.. those are my two cents... and i also have an 06 wrx and it creates many noises while downshifting like a whining sound or before the whining sound and the clicking sound of my exhaust hitting my diff... check the clearance!!!!

I have not experienced this with my 07. Yet I only have 12k miles and winter is only beginning.
