Default Stopped by the National Museum of the Marine Corp

So me and my girlfriend were traveling on I95 a couple weeks ago and decided to stop by the National Museum of the Marine Corps. We always see this huge triangle shaped building towering above the treeline as we cruise 95. Our curiosity got the best of us and I found myself taking the next exit off the interstate to learn some history about our Marine Corps. We were kind of short on time so we kind of just breezed through the displays and took some quick snapshots. I'm by no means a photographer and these pictures most certainly do not encompass the entire museum by any means. Anyways, enjoy.

The displays looked surprisingly realistic, even upclose

Hmm... I don't remember taking that shot...

Can you hear me now?

blurry I know...

Get to the choppa!

I'm glad we stopped by here. Ill definitely be making more trips through 95(commutes from Va Beach to DC) and when I have more time I plan on checking out everything that I missed. There was a lot more behind the museum as well. So if you ever find yourself on 95 near DC, stop by and pay some respect to the Marine Corps.

btw...it's the Marine CorpS

I'm an American Solider, and I have much respect for the Marines....crazy f***ks!
Though I would love to go to the war college to see the statue of my idol John Boyd (who was actually never a uniformed Marine).

This is less than 10 miles from my house. If you are coming up 95 toward DC, it's impossible to miss it. Pretty cool building.

Very cool building - it's meant to evoke the image of the Marines raising the flag at Iwo Jima.
