Is it a rule that Best Buy can't carry the best cameras from a given manufacturer?

I swear to god, it's a conspiracy. Our Fuji F20 died a premature death, so I'm taking it in today to have it replaced (hopefully) but I seriously cannot find a single P&S that Best Buy carries that I actually want.

I would go with a Sony W100, Fuji F40 or Olympus FE-250 - they carry none of these.

I think it's more of a rule that Best Buy sucks for consumer electronics if you have any more than an ounce of intelligence.

Get your money back if you can, and go to a specialized camera store.

Jesus, this is ****ing hopeless. You'd think they would at least carry this camera's replacement. Hopefully I can get credit, if not my actual money back.

I've been through nearly all of the manufacturer's cameras, there's not a single P&S I want.

Kodak Z88. 8mp in a 1/1.8" sensor, can go up to ISO 8000, although I'm sure it's worthless up there.

I like kodak digital cameras. Kodak doesn't have over saturated hues most others do, along with the best skin tone rendering imo.
You can buy the kodak Z885 from kodak for $199.00 with free shipping and a bonus 2GB card.

BTW, it seems alot of retailers, even walmart, have some good stuff only from their .com not availible in stores.

For real, when I was searching for my P&S I went to BB looking....nothing but Kodak crap. Amazon.com FTW!

Amazon.com + B&H + local (camera) stores keep me very happy.

Call it a lesson learned. If you can't get a refund, get store credit, do your Christmas shopping there and get the camera from somewhere better. Not only does BB have extremely limited selection, their prices (for camera stuff) aren't really anything to write home about, either. Amazon.com consistently beats on price. Sure, you may be able to get BB to match the price, but why go through the hassle?

I just wish Fuji still made the F31fd, or any camera with comparable sensor and optics. I convinced my fiancee to get one, but now I want one to go with my dslr.

Unfortunately, nobody makes any decent 6MP P&S's anymore. I want fewer, larger pixels - megapixel counts be damned. Their replacement for the F31fd has 12MP in a sensor the same size or smaller, and doesn't perform nearly as well.
