Yep, I drive it in traffic, but not yet with the oil cooler. I have no idea about any heat soak yet. There are no lines hooked up to it yet; I was just test fitting yet. I can’t claim responsibility for the brackets. I’m working with the owner of B-Line Motorsports to see how/if their kit fits the APS DR 525 piping; they’ve been testing it for a year+ with Perrin intercoolers, but, until me, not with APS. When I do actually start using it, I’m going to put a surface thermocouple on it and one in the output flow right off the core. That should help me determine if there is any heat soaking. But because of the lower thermal density of it compared to a TMIC, and extra air space around it, I’m inclined to think it wouldn’t be a significant issue… we’ll see, however.

You should hook the intercooler sprayer back up if it isnt.

The metal vain insert has to be removed to fit it, so there is no easy way to remount the spray. And I never liked the idea of introducing water to an engine bay anyway. If it ends up that it heat soaks in the summer, I'll install a CO2 system and have my gauge software automatically give little CO2 blasts based on speed and/or temps.

I'd be most worried about leaks - any oil that leaks from that thing will most likely drip onto the turbo/exhaust.

Good point; good reason to continue routine checking of vital fittings. I'd actually like to see the whole thing moved towards the drivers side about 2.25 inches. That should further minimize heat soak and lessen the potential of leaks becoming fire problems.
