Default Spring Rate

I assume the discussion about the larger sway bar is for the rear. Sounds like a larger RSB is in order, and adjustability is always welcome at the track.
Any ideas of the spring rates front and rear? I am looking the tighten up the suspension with stock struts for a while anyway.

Thanks,

BOB

Thanks for asking BOB. The muffler uses a straight through design with two exterior outlets splitting the flow equally to both sides.

Larger RSB is/should be in the building this week.

No clue on rates on the springs. More info when we have it!

Thanks for the reply!

The full Exhuast is already done, it just uses the 08 WRX midpipe. Which we didn't put in the pics because it was gross and dirty compared to the nice shiny STI muffler section.

The muffler is a straight through, but with a center chamber. So its kind of both baffled, but straight, mainly straight. HP numbers will follow shortly.

The DP's are the same as the LGT ones. So you can find them on our site HERE and HERE.

The weight of the system saves about 12lbs from stock. This is our muffler only, not including the 3" midpipe. Also this is the OEM fitment version which is interchangeable with the OEM midpipe or our 3" midpipe. On our future system (which forces you to buy both midpipe and muffler section) will save even more weight!

Yup rear bar for sure. Our 19mm has 3 settings to provide roughly 200%, 260%, and 330% stiffer than stock settings. Of course we have the front bar in 22mm still. Endlinks and lots of other cool suspension stuff will be rolling out very soon!

Car looks great. Any idea what the factory alignment specs are, and more importantly (for me anyway) how much adjustment range is there? Is the rear camber adjustable now as well?

Thanks!

The car is a love it or hate it, but I am becoming especially fond of Jeff's choice of no front Fog Lamps. Makes the car that much more purpose looking!

Subaru has never been noted as being an "attractive" car, in fact I cant think of a single subaru except maybe a 22b as being attractive. But they all seem to have a tendency of growing on you. So in essence its shooters choice.......... Beauty is found in the eye of the beholder.....

YEP the looks of the 2008 STI is like Scotch ..It's an aquired taste....Beside Subaru isn't going to change the shape just because I don't like it yet...I'll just drink more scotch and see what happenns to the looks ...:>)

How can you honestly call this a Subaru?
Everyday when I wake up I hope that i was just dreaming that Subaru came out with this car. So everyday I am disappointed when i see this...

2008 PERRIN STI Exposed!

So I am just sitting there responding to some NASIOC posts, and I get the call...... "Your 2008 STI is here!!!" our good buddy at our dealer tells me. This was a huge surprise to us as we had all been told they would be in by the end of January! It's December, and we already got our car. Time to get to work!

When ever we get a new car, the first thing we do is go over all the new things, and changes done from the previous models, and in this case from the WRX. For us, getting a new model of a car, is like opening Christmas presents. First off, from the WRX, this car is very different. They may share a few of the same parts, like the chassis, and dash, but that is where similarities end. With our STI came a very "Mini Cooper" type of media pack. Magazines, brochures, tattoo, kill markers, listing of all Subaru clubs.......

I'm not saying the car is "bad" in the way it looks or performs. I don't know....drastic changes are hard for us all. I mean hey, i disliked the 06 wrx when it first came out. Now I'm driving one! It will grow on me

That is how i have felt also. They are horrible at first, until you see them everywhere.

My dad just got an 08 sti (he wanted a "fun" car). What mods would you suggest for him that wouldn't get frowned upon if anything goes bad and is under warranty. I'm going to drag him to a few autox.
