did you do your
kegels today?

Default Shakey Idle

well i did a little searching, and the closest thing to my problem is this
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ght=rough+idle

my car is a bit shakey at idle, even after it is all warmed up. someone said to check all the hoses. anyone have any other ideas of what could it be? also,i havent checked the hoses, so i am going to go to the dealer for warranty service. another thing that i am wondering is that the dealer is going to charge me a "diagnostic service" which is like 98$ and i dont think this is going to be covered under the warranty. all they are going to do is look at it for 98$ and then tell me whats wrong with it. do all dealers charge this? thanks

Boxer engines sometimes get a little resonance going at idle that you can feel - is the rpm fluctuating at the same time, or you just feel a little lateral vibration sometimes while the rpm is rock solid? If the latter, perfectly normal - get used to it.

If there's truly a problem that a dealer needs to diagnose under warranty, no way you should get charged. If it turns out to be something not covered because of mods or abuse, that's an entirely different issue...

my rpms are rock solid after warm up and it is shakey. it used to shake once every 4-5 secs or so, but now it just shakes every 1-2 secs. i have no mods except an sti cat back and some led lights. i purposely am not messing with the engine for a while until i know how it feels and how 'normal' feels.

You probably don't have anything to worry about, it's just one of the characteristics of boxer engines.

If you can find someone else with an '07 nearby and take a ride in their car, it would give you something to compare your car to. Perhaps try posting in your regional forum?
As mentioned above, the diagnostic fee should be waived after the fact if a warrantyable problem is found.
