if ur buying a wrx, I suggest you call Van bortel subaru. Its a long ass drive but you can get the car for $400 over invoice.
My car cost me 22,979 +tax. Thats 1500 bux cheaper than MSRP.
1-800-724-8872 ask for Diana, and tell them that Keith or Garrick sent u.
Metric has a great Service area! But for sales, I am a bit upset with them.
Good luck
Keith

Gin, I was pretty happy with the price and service I got for my RS from Smith Cairns in Yonkers. Although, don't hold me responsible if you get shafted. But we bought 4 cars from there so far and been pretty happy.
They have a seperate Subaru department several miles up Central Ave.

Also, does your brother go to University at Buffalo (UB)? That's where I go.

Question Subie dealers in NYC

Hi guys, I was wondering if you can recommend a Subie dealer in the metro area? I've been to a few in Queens and they weren't that great.

Thanks in advance

If you can wait for them to actually ship, I can get you a good deal on one from my dealer in Staten Island. Let me know if you are interested. They are a non-pressure sales type place.

I got my 2001 for $187 over invoice. WRX go for 4% over invoice. They are honest and fair. None tried to talk me into anything.

Beltway Buick/Subaru 718-234-7960

They may not have a car for a test drive thou. I did not care a bit but still......

Hey Gin, I know this is a long shot but is your brother Phil? My friend said his brother's probably gonna be getting a wrx and he mentioned that he has a Maxima at home.

i dont think any dealers are going to have a wrx for a test drive.
Gin, if you want a wrx, I spoke to my dealer, and she is probably not going to be able to get it for u til april. It depends on the color and if anyone backs out.
she also told me that i was the only person getting a yellow sedan in march at her dealership!
weeee

Keith, i dont mind waiting till april. I've been a fence sitter for the past year trying to decide what to go for. Volvo c70, saab viggen, 2.5 rs, vw gti and so forth. when i heard the wrx was coming out i decided to wait a few months for a test drive but theres a new car tempting me now. I saw the new Z.... Damn, too many choices now.

ahahaha To many cars, not enough money. Yo, give Diana a call, you don't have to lay a deposit down, and if you dont want the car you lose nothing. That and the price is what got me to order my car there.
Good luck

I had a decent buying experience with Major Subaru in Long Island City (Queens). This was in 1998 for my OBS though. I didn't go there for warranty service since I live in Suffolk though, so I can't comment on their service department.

Unhappy

For those of you without deposits and purchase orders I have real bad news on yellow wrx sedans. There will only be one car per dealership in yellow for the entire year. So if this is the car you want find a dealer who still has one without a deposit on it, and leave a deposit and sign a purchase order. Or you too will wind up with nothing but a brochure and a bunch of broken promises.
