Default Questions about BPM exhaust systems

I am looking to purchase a BPM TT turboback system when I get my tax return. I just have a few questions before I purchase.

1. Will it work with my automatic tranny? I noticed on vividracings website they state that the MRT turboback will not work with an auto. Just wondering why.

2. Does the BPM TT have a hi-flow cat in the downpipe? Or no cat in the downpipe and a hi-flow 3rd cat?

3. Will the BPM TT sound like a V-8 at idle?

Thanks guys, you have all been great with answers so far. Oh yeah, someone with a WRX do me a favor? Tell me what brand of headlight bulbs you have that came with the car when you purchased it? I am following up on something and need to know this. Thanks

Well I'll give you my best answers to these questions.

1.I don't know if the BPM will work with an auto, but more than likely the MRT 's front section is bent/routed for a manual transmission . The auto takes up more room so it probably doesn't fit because of the way they routed it

2. I'm quite sure it's a high-flow 3rd CAT

3. Maybe. check out

And listen to the sound clips/ research the exhaust system.

I am not sure if it will fit the auto tranny, most likely not. The cat is a high flow unit located in the midpipe. It won't sound like a v8 at idle, the GT system I got came with the silencer and it sounds a little louder than stock with the silencer installed I hear. Call Mike at Exeter Subaru at 1-877-SUBARU9. His prices are the best around and all his systems come shipped with the silencer also. Hope that helps a bit -KEVIN-

Answers:

1) Don't know, but Mike at Exeter should know.

2) Like BluSuby above, Hi-flow in the mid-pipe.

3) The sound is VERY deep, but not quite V8 like. Sounds great at 5k plus.

There are two ways to order. Resonated and un-resonated. I personally have resonated on both of my cars because 'un' is just too loud at highway speeds. Hope this helps, and I hope the BPM fits.

Thanks guys for posting. I will look into it and let everyone know if they fit or not. I hope they do because I like the look of the TT and people say BPM is really good.
