Using print screen will capture the workspace to the clipboard, but then you still have to paste the bitmap into a image editing tool, crop it, and save it. Try this: http://www.codeplex.com/cropper
You can select a portion of the screen to capture, and define whether you want it captured to the clipboard or to a file type of your choosing. Oh, and its free. |

or just Alt+print screen (captures current window that is open) Paste into mspaint and cut out the pictures and paste into a new image, save done.

Syswolf's steps are incomplete; most likely you'll have to resize the pallet before saving. If you want to take the print screen or alt+print screen approach, using something like IrfanView (www.irfanview.com, again free) will make cropping easier than mspaint. Plus you can control compression levels (size vs quality) for jpegs. Cropper is still easier for what you are trying to do, imho, especially if you want to do this kind of thing again in the future. Once you get it installed and configured to save to a file... select area, hit Enter, done.

Agreed, its the easiest (only?) with the tools available in Windows. And there is nothing wrong with my man Sean's suggestion. Just giving other options and opinions; we're teaching a man how to fish after all. But it is still incomplete... if the last defined size of the work area is bigger than the clipboards contents there will be unwanted white space left below and/or to the right.

Not that you haven't already done a screen capture and gotten the images... But if you wanted the actual image from the site without relying on screen capture... the format for the image file names is: gal1_img1.jpg (replace gal1 with gal(Gallery number) and "img1" with the image number... No cropping needed.. No image quality loss... just the exact image used on the site.
http://mpgproductions.net/gal1_img1.jpg and for those of you that want to see exactly what is being downloaded when you go to a web page.... go to http://xk72.com/charles/ and download Charles Proxy (trial limited to 30 minute sessions) and every web page you go to you can see every file that gets downloaded... Nice for those flash sites when you want to get to a file like an image that's displayed in flash. (and no... Charles Proxy is not my software.. nor do I make any money by recommending it... It's just a damn good product that I use daily to make sure my web applications aren't sending info I don't want them to be.) |

Meh... that's not nerdy. Nerdy is having to decide between sex or code, and having code occasionally win.
