My trip to CAMP LEJEUNE

Im in the service and i decided i needed to pick up my wagon. So thats what i did on christmas leave. On the way to Camp Lejeune my car started to make some weird noice which only sounds off whenever i drive and not when i rev up the engine, but the noice is coming from the engine bay, real pain in the butt. Does anyone know of anything that may be wrong?

Probably the muffler bearings.

If it does it under load, but not when you are revving the engine..then it's something in the drivetrain and not the engine. If it's a rotational sound (gets louder the faster you go, or something like that) then it's more than likely a front wheel bearing. Does it go away when you push the clutch in? (coasting in gear, clutch pushed in)...if so, then i t could be a clutch bearing, or input shaft bearing (unlikely with these cars).

Based on what i know of the 02-03 wrx's...you most likely have a bad wheel bearing.

Does the sound get worse when you make a turn to a certain direction? If it does, and the sound changes with the speed you're going I'd also suggest that it's a bad wheel bearing. I just replaced one of mine about 10k ago (90k miles).

I believe it is the wheel bearing by the way you were describing that noice. The noise didnt start untill i drove 900 miles to atlanta.

They told you which camp your coming to over here. I work with a lot of the corpsman's over here.

I was Camp Gieger FTL and Camp Johnson (FTWomenz)
I was stationed at Lejeune and still have a few friends in the area.
Call Marshall Jarman he is at National Dodge-Subaru and he is the service manager.

Thats awsome man. Im actually in Camp Johnson and have been here for the past two months. im waiting to class up for Field Medical Training Batallion. Im a Corpsman so i need to go through that school in order to work with marines

Yeah Camp Johnson is where im at right now, its boring but thats where friends come in. I have a couple of friends at Gieger too. So you know how it is over here and that saves me some time about all the fun things there is to do here. lol. Thanks for the number HKP i will give him a call and see what we can work out.
