I noticed Ed from the other thread was running this supercharger, and I'm looking for more info. Cost, vendor, experiences, etc.

I'm sure lots of people would like to hear about it...

Anyone else make it out to the MCO Rally meeting last night? I saw a few RS' in the parking lot!

You should send a PM or email to Ed..... he could tell you about it in full details (the good, the bad and the ugly)..... He usually comes to the meetings....

I think if he'd do it all again, he would go turbo instead..... or engine swap.....

Not many Rimmer kits exist since they company went belly up..... Not much R&D went into the design, and not much safety items came with the kit......

I think originally the kit sold for $3k US.... There was a Montreal member who had it on but after a while got feed up and removed it completly.......

For subaru, why re-invent the wheel when turbo applications have been proved over and over........

Mike (in the Ottawa club, Doof) is currently finishing his swap in his 2000 RS with WRX STI v4..... He's hoping it will be done by next week..... I think he's currently having DMS 50mm struts installed....

If you are looking to SC, do a search for the user Templar. He is
putting together a new SC kit for the GC8. There's also a pretty
long thread over on RS25.com about it.

If you want a supercharged car get a GTP. Although there are some supercharged EJ25's here they are difficult to run without blowing up. Once they do run well they tend to chew up gearboxes.

I know the EJ25 has more torque but many who rant on about this have never driven an STi powered beast. Anyone who has been in Richard Wong's car knows what I'm talking about.

BTW, I'm selling my Tec II kit. So if you're putting on a supercharger it would be ideal.
