does anyone know what to replace with the stock muffler?

any recommendation?

like the whole exhaust

ahh ic, well, i was able to get ahold of a 2006 sti muffler...and only muffler....but i would need to do some cutting and welding to it...

$125 shipped. good deal or no!?

wait a second, isnt the sti inlet bigger than the pipe for the 2.5i?

like by .25"?

I have a wrx axleback off an 07. It was free and looks 100X better. I'll agree with piker, 125 is pretty steep.

man is it really!? ive been trying to look for one and seems like the best deal....guess im wrong...should have waited for feedbacks from you guys

i'm in the works right now for getting an STi axleback in the classifieds that was lightly used for $50 + shipping... 125 is a LOT

yea i noticed a few from classified but the thing is, i never get any replies back after i pm'ed like 3+ times...

more like you rushed into the deal, the more you rush the worse deal you get

i paid $100 for my STi catback. and then $80 to get the midpipe welded/extended. not a big gain in power but i like it and its louder and deeper than stock but not too loud.

You guys are makingit seem like this guy got totally bent over without lubrication. Its most likely at least $25 to ship the muffler so $100 for a hopefully good condition STI axleback really isn't that bad. Looks and mild sound is what you are getting here man.

ok lets see, way back in the day even the the sti first came out and their axlebacks were rare i got one shipped to me for 50 bucks. Now that they flooded the market and alot of performance shops have them sitting around wasting space i would say he got ripped

and subiesurfer you really need to go to the west coast and surf some more cause your pretty damn irritable
