Default throw out bearing

my throw out bearing is going bad. i am still covered under warranty. i have a downpipe and a few suspension mods. will i still be covered by the warranty or not?

Whats wrong with your throw out bearing? kinda hard for us to even guess if its covered or not without a little bit more info on why you think its failed. what kind of clutch issue are you having?

the car is making a kinda wistling sound and when i push the clutch in it stops. my friend is a mechanic and said that it is the throw out bearing. clutch feels fine.i am also having trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.really hard to get it in gear. he said that the two have nothing to do with each other. thnaks for any help

well if the throw out bearing is worn and making noise it could very well be not engaging the pressure plate properly causing shifting issues. Have it checked out see what they say.

thanks for the info. but will subaru even look at the car with the aftermarket parts on there??

Yes they will look at the car, but if they find something that is not under warranty, you will be responsible for the repairs.

Alot is going to depend on what your clutch plate and flywheel look like

i had the same exact problem. Me being a technician i knew that my throwout bearing was making noise and i took it to the dealer and explained to them what i thought about it and they pulled the tranny out and found that my throwout bearing was bad and they replaced it under warrenty. While the tranny was out they also installed a new piot bearing, clutch disc and pressure plate as well as resurfaced my flywheel. I took my car to the dealership with a TBE and Reflash. They did not question me about anything. THe throwout bearing going out has nothing to do with the exhaust.
