Hey guys,
I have an 02 wrx with 2.5 built motor and just bought some perrin headers that need to fit with the Sti oil pan...but I have a wrx oil pan. What is needed to swap that over? Do I just buy the sti pan and put it on or is there more I need to change? Anyone done this before?? edit: I just cheked their website and when I look at the 02 wrx header and then the 04+ Sti header...they have the same part #....so...do I have to even change oil pans?? ![]() TIA -freddie ![]()

if your pan has a big piece missing by the oil filter than you have the correct pan

nope....it is a 02 wrx pan...but i looked on the perrin site and it says:
"Fits all Subaru Turbo Models 2008+ WRX Fits NO mods! 02-05 WRX models require a STi type oilpan and oil pickup for necessary clearance. (Can be purchased from your local Subaru dealer. Call or e-mail for more information!) 2004-05 FORRESTER XT models require the STI type oil pan, oil pickup and 2002-2004 WRX oil cooler, for necessary clearance. (Can be purchased from your local Subaru dealer. Call or email for more information!) 2006+ FORRESTER XT models require the 2002-2004 WRX oil cooler. These models have the correct oil pan. Please call for further details. 06+ WRX's require modification to oil cooler. Please call for further details. Also fits all Automatic models as well. No interference. " so I guess I found the answers to my question...I'll keep posted if anyone needs the same info...only found this when I copied and pasted..huh. thanks -freddie |
