Is this one lighter than the Titanium strutbar made by STi? Also is this for the GC chassis or GD?

Approximately the same, i was compared before ! Is for the top of the engine bay (Front Strut Tower Bar). Both are STi Limited !

If it's original, it's for the GC as that style didn't come out for the 02-07 chassis.

^^Thats what i thought too, but vivid racing has one for the GD chassis... Not sure anymore

The Vivid racing one is a little bit different with mine (pic #3) ! You will see it when you click enlarge the pic !

Exactly, because the one you have is for a GC and the one vivid has is for the newer 2002-on

That notch on the base of the passenger side mount is for a 90º angle there is there to re-position the hood prop up bar to open the hood at a 90º for things like engine removals and such.

Ahh i see it now. Thanks for clearing that up. So STi DOES make a Carbon Fiber one for the GDB chassis. Anybody know if this one is lighter or stiffer than their Titanium strut bar?
