I'm planning on going stage 2 in the next week or so but, i plan on just heading to the shop to get it tuned, Precision tuning. Well I wont have a base map to get there and they are only about 10 miles from where i live. So will it be an issue to my car if i drove there without a tune and a dp installed as long as i baby it all the way and try to stay off the boost.

Just stay off the throttle and you'll be fine.
If you're really worried about it, you can disconnect the BCS harness that will throw a CEL but you will be running wastegate spring pressure so you won't overboost. |

10 miles? pssh! before I "saw the light" I was driving an upgraded turbo and injectors over 6 hours on the freeway on a limp map to get dyno tuned.
