Default Sport Grille for 08 2.5i

Hello I'm thinking about getting the sport grille for the 08 does the grille just snap on? bolted on? I never changed a grille before and I don't want the dealer to do it.

I'm fairly confident that it is easily swapped by playing with maybe a few screws and/or clips. The grill on the 02 WRX was pretty simple to remove. My 08 came with the sport grille, so I haven't had the pleasure of figuring this out yet. However, Hella Supertones are on the horizon, so I'll be pulling the grille before too long.

There are a few push clips and 4 screws that go in the back of the grill, they are a bitch to get to, but it's something that can be done with a shorty philips.

Is there any support function for the middle bar in the middle of the sport grill or maybe something hidden behind it? It may look nicer when it is removed, can anyone confirm this?

Or you can try reaching up behind the radiator, which is more difficult, but doesn't require removing the bumper. It's actually pretty easy, you just have to be careful when reattaching the bumper to ensure it's properly aligned/captured.

I went the "scratching and squeezing your hand behind the radiator" way because i have access to a hydrolic lift and once on the lift it was pretty easy to squeeze my hand there... but removing the bumber is the way to go... but a bit longer
