Default Adjusting coilovers

So I just bought my 04 STI and it has Helix DNA coilovers. It is tight and handles like a MF'er. However, the ride is pretty stiff and my wife doesn't like to ride with me. I can't work out how to adjust them, to soften them up. There are two screws on the top for preload but I don't want to mess with them until I know what I'm doing. Can anyone offer some advice?
At this point, I'm thinking of putting the stockers back on but I don't know how much different they are (handling vs. ride quality).

I would throw the stockers in, they "are" tuned for that car, you know what I mean?

Later if you decide you wanna throw them back in, you can, usually you don't have THAT much range where it's worth it to keep them if ride is a factor.

they'll still be too stiff for the wife, regardless of how soft you set the damping. if that's a big concern, put the stockers in. it will still handle nicely.

Thanks for the feedback. Since I'm not planning on auto-xing the car and I actually enjoy my wife's company, I'm going to take your advice and put it back to stock. I guess I'll throw the coilovers in the classifieds when I get done.
Thanks all.
