Sorry, I had to plug my Dad's site. Anyway, this sounds awesome. If I'm in town, I'd be really interested in going. Maybe I'll drag the GF down too.

Painters tape or masking tape=ftw.
If you are worried about paint then masking off the areas you are worried about is a good idea.
I know its an evo but heres an example:

I noticed that none of the scoobs Ive seen use any tape .. lol. This guys paint was fine

Basically your paint isn't really much of a problem unless you make a mistake and go somewhere/hit something you shouldn't.

Depends on the surface and what you consider "bad". If I can't see it from 8 feet away, it doesn't bother me.

I've done this on everything from dry lakebeds to a rock infested course in prescott and I have minimal chips along the bottom of my doors from about a dozen or so events. The door dings from parking lots are more noticeable.

Since you have an STi and it sits lower and has painted side skirts, I would def bring a wide roll of blue painters tape if you are concerned.

There is a little section on protecting paint on the website above too. (not the gun site, lol)

I am fully up to getting back out on the dirt. Count me in!!!

And just get some mud flaps, and then you will never have to worry about your paint.

Cheers,

AZ RallyX events have been postponed due to venue costs running higher than the interest level. Keep an eye on this thread for more: http://www.azsolo.com/forums/index.p...34&#entry66834 if an alternate venue is found.

What about moving it to phoenix and doing it in one of the gravel parking lots at phoenix international. There have been many rallyx's there. It has a very nice large spot for it just south of the track.
