NightShade is the spray. Works better than film for contours like headlights and taillights.

ive been lookin onto films and tints too. i was wondering how dark do you think i should go in terms of tint %. ive seen 20% for sale for tails but i dunno if that'll be too dark. i think 35% might be pretty good. same question for heads. dont wanna lose too much driving visibility.

Just remember any smoke tint will definately reduce your nighttime driving visibility quite noticeably. My yellow ones actually increased it in crappy weather (rain, fog, snow)

www.hotsubarus.com is where I got my taillight tints but they were hard to install and I didn't get the effect I wanted, I would suggest using nightshade for the taillights and going with either none or yellow if any on the headlights.

I got the dark tinted tails... I love how it looks (maybe i can get a picture in a few), but it was quite a bit of a pain to do it myself and even then had to do a little modifying.

If i had like three pairs to practice on (and random money laying around) i'm sure it would have been fine. So i guess for a first attempt i'm happy with it.

As for visibility it seems to be easy to see... the reverse lights are (obviously) much harder to see so i had to change the way i back down my driveway, but i still feel it's worth it for the look i wanted.

ive been wanting to tint my 07 for the longest time...ive seen pics of the hotsubarus.com but their tint seems just a little too dark for my OBP....also im worried bout the spray on cuz once u screw up u cant go back....same goes for the film-type...i heard its not easy to install...

i just might have to leave them the way they are

Hi I've been lurking for quite a while and just got my 08 OB XT on Saturday. I want to tint my fog lights yellow and I've gone to the websites mentioned but they only sell products up to the 07 models. Does anyone know if the 07 fog lights are the same size as the 08's ? They look the same to me but I don't want to make a mistake.
Thanks

^ i'd watch out with the decalfx and ebay ones. yes they are cheap, but they are trying to work with wet tissue paper... you get what you pay for...

Someone posted about the yellow headlight tint being illegal in CA but I wasn't able to find anything on the CA DMV website to support this. Could someone enlighten me? I can understand if the headlight is blacked/greyed out or if the there are no amber reflectors.
