The "lack of warranty" issue is only if you try to redeem the warranty with Omori-NA. Omori-NA doesn't want to deal with problems from overseas. My guess is they're spending money supporting gauges from Malaysia, but not making any money, because nobody will order domestically.

It's too bad Omori-NA can't sell at market prices... so far I've only read one post from someone that purchased from Omori-NA. I'm no business genius, but if 90% of your market is ordering overseas, you need to start lowering your prices.

Thumbs up Omori-NA is top notch!

I tried to order from Mr. Pang in Malaysia and never did go through with the deal. First hassle is the payment method. If you use Western Union or a Wire transfer, there is a $30 fee. Then there is the $30 shipping fee from overseas. Then, after he has your money (took me 2 weeks to get a confirmation) he responds that he needs time to make the custom gauges. After 4 weeks,
I called Greg at Omori-NA, ordered the gauges on a Wednesday, and had them the next day via UPS Air. Sure, the cost was more, but I had my gauges in my hand when I needed them. As far as the warranty issue goes, I had a bad oil temp sensor, Called Greg and had a new sensor in a few days. I didn't have to send him the bad sensor or anything. I'm sure if I had the same problem with Mr. Pang, I would have had to ship the entire gauge package back for evaluation. This most likely would have taken a few weeks. You get what you pay for, so if you want the hassles of dealing with out of country vendors, you may save a few bucks. I would rather pay a little more and get great service while I support the American economy. Greg is an excellent customer service oriented person!!

mca...all I did was email mr. pang and asked...all I have his an e-mail of his word..GPH993when I ordered my gauges they were reduced in price alot, before there was an Omori.NA, my total was 200 less than the factory gauges with all the added charges of western union, and the express mail cost added, I jumped when the time was right. what ever people want they'll pay ,weather it's in 4 days or 4 weeks. seems "service" is great what ever country they are from. Just for a bit of info. Alamo Autosports in Arlinton, TX are an authorized Omori dealer. (& no they are not affiliated with Alamo Motorsports)They are also a dealer for HKS, GReddy, Unorthodox Racing, AEM, and a bunch of others. Very knowledgable staff and have a AWD dyno on the way. Phone number is 817.860.4300

Best of all, Alamo stock Omori gauges with YELLOW needles and green backlight to match the WRX.

I called just now to order EGT, boost, and oil temperature gauges (52mm) and was told they're out of boost and oil temp right now pending delivery from Omori. They've sold several hundred of the things already but promised this will be a well-stocked item in future. I guess demand has been good, which is a nice problem to have.

Anyway, since I'd rather order ALL my gauges at once, Brice (@ Alamo) will be contacting me once they arrive.

FYI, I was quoted $230 (boost), $250 (egt) and $190 (oil); all electric, black face gauges with yellow needles and green backlight. Shipping is free within the USA.

Cheers!

I had talked to Alamo a few weeks back. At that time they aniticipated selling these for $199.00 ea. Even at that price there must have been a comfortable margin for them.

Reviving an old thread. Here is the website for Alamo Motorsports Arlignton:

http://www.alamoautosports.com/

They are selling pretty much all Omori gauges at MSRP. Not suprisingly this makes the statements made here by Omori-NA false:

Quote:
As a distributor, we have to sell at retail. As we develop
our distribution network here you will see some flexibility in that regard.
We are currently working with a very well known WRX specialist/tuner to
carry this line of product exclusively, and as they know the market, they
are free to adjust prices accordingly to match the Subaru enthusiasts'
demands. But the prices we give are set by the manufacturer.
I don't know who gave them the idea Alamo Motorsports Arlington was a "WRX specialist/tuner". Shouldn't this company as the only known US distributor be able to sell at under MSRP?
