Default WRX LSD into 2.5i

Ok I have a question about the rear axles. I am planning on putting a 2005 WRX rear LSD into my car and I know I have to get a place to swap over the ring and pinion so that it works with my current transmission. But I wanted to know about the axles. Are the 2005 WRX rear axles interchangable with the 2006-2007 2.5i rear axles?

I called up my local dealer and they said in 2006-2007 the rear axles are the same part number for left and right but in 2005 the WRX had different part numbers for the left and right and I just want to confirm if this is true...cause if so I now need to find new axles...

So can I just reuse my 2007 2.5i rear axles with this 2005 WRX rear LSD?

edit: I did read the sticky about what years have LSD's and also the sticky on Axle Compatibility....but neither of those address the 2006-2007 axle lengths, that is why I am making a new thread.

maybe this needs to be moved to the "Transmission (AT/MT) & Driveline" forum?
