Question Need to get my UTEC tuned in the Dallas area, also...

May have a boost controler installed first. Can anyone recomend a good person, or place to do it?
Id like to get it done before Thursday next week.
Oh and I was thinking about the blitz I-color.

Thanks

Nobody that you want touching your car can get it done that quickly. If you can wait until March we're bringing Clark Turner back through. He's one of the best in the country and you can't go wrong with having him tune your car.

The only decently priced place is FIS, but he doesn't like tuning UTECs. Gotham Racing can do it too but they want something ridiculous like $400 for use of the dyno and $350 for tune. A $750 tune is nonsense.

Those are your only 2 choices in DFW.

Engine Logic in Houston is really the only other place in TX that does UTECs but they are also way overpriced.

Wow, that sucks!
I had my UTEC turned once, and they did a really bad job! It cuts out at high RPMS in 5th and 6th. I Move to Houston in one year

Ok, well if you can wait 2 more months then you will have a nicely tuned utec when you move down there.

5th and 6th high rpms? What speed is that... it's not suprising if the car was not road tuned at over 100mph.

If you can make it down to Austin I tune UTECs. 5+ years experience with them.

Do you have a Tuner (the txs wideband)?

Otherwise Clark is the best bet. He is one of the best UTEC tuners in the country.

If you have the tuner and want to go take a couple 4th gear 2000rpm to redline (or as close to redline as you can get) datalogs and email them to me I can tell you what to change and where to at least get you in a little better shape.
