Default 2008 Ferrari F250 Concept Design by Idries Omar

Quote:
2008 Ferrari F250 Concept Design by Idries Omar

The idea for this car was simple, fast, aerodynamic and beautiful, while taking styling queues from Ferraris old and new. Being a mid-engine rear wheel drive, I had the freedom to give the car a really aggressive stance. Low, pointy front and Muscular rear makes it look like its ready to pounce.

I designed this car originally as a Dino concept. But the name didn’t compliment the design. So I went for something more Ferrari. Ferrari F250. I think it’s works well with the car. The number 250 which comes from the legendary 250 GTO.
Being a small car and very light I was thinking of a 2.5L V6 engine (250) that runs on bio-fuel.

Ugly and impractical (yes, even more so than a normal Ferrari). The rear looks REALLY bad with that tiny window and monstrous haunches.

The front is great, the ass sucks, but could be fixed with the starting points the front has created and using the same language.

It's hideous. First of all horses don't pounce, they gallop or perhaps as with most ferrari owners they prance.
I don't see ANYTHING remotely Ferrari about this abomination. What was his inspiration for the rocker scoops, the Ferrari LP640? The scoops on the rear quarter panels are just taken from an F430, and the front is has some Audi R8 in it. Please, someone, find me something taken from a Ferrari pre-F360. Why does the front track look wider than the rear when Ferrari's are known for skinny fronts? Why does it have Veyron roof scoops?
Who do I have to call to get Idries Omar fired? Thankfully no one in Maranello.

Looks like a wide body F-430. I like it, kind-of.

I'll bet that right there is oil money at work.

Is it even real?

I love the design - it looks like what I'd imagine a Ferrari to look like in 20-30 years.
