Question What other Rally Cars are even out there to purchase besides the WRX, STi, and Evo?

Hey everyone...

I was wondering:

What rally car INSPIRED automobiles are available for us to purchase besides the WRX, STi, and Evo here in the US?
Is the WRX considered a rally inspired car even or more of a street/normal sedan car with the STi being the rally based car?

Thanks!

Strictly speaking, none of them.

But if you mean what models are also used in WRC, then there's also the Ford Focus (although the rest of the world gets a different body style).

yeah um... you can rally just about anything, it doesn't have to be AWD + turbo.

Whats funny, most of the rally cars are super budget cars. I'd never buy a 206, C4 or Fabia.

I am talking more along the lines of WRC cars, not the lower classes...

i think the only real viable option aside from the ones you mentioned is the SX4, and it comes sans turbo but there are a couple kits in the works

Is the WRX considered a rally car even or more of a street/normal sedan car with the STi being the rally based car?

Both the WRX and the STI are "street/normal sedans".

WRC cars are highly modified.

Neither of the two are "based on" the WRC car, but there may be some elements of both in the WRC cars.

I've seen the Andros cars up close in Canada. They are AWD, AND! all wheel steering, tube frame chassis, and a plastic shell that somewhat resembles an actual production car.

The Subaru rally car has the same chassis as a Japanese STi. That is about the only similarity.
