Cool Subaru Animated Cursor

If I'm breaking some copyright, let me know, but I have a cool animated cursor of our beloved Subaru 6 Star Logo. Just download the attached image and rename the gif file to zip, open it up and you're good to go!

Enjoy!

I noticed...can't fake the system out! Okay, go to http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/bmajerus and go into Subaru Cursor folder, then click on the link. The funny thing you have to do is, after you click "cursor", you may have to choose to "Open this file from its current location" and it will open another "File Download" box and now you can choose "Save this file to disk".

Throw it in your Windows\Cursors folder, and if you don't know, in the control panel, go to "Desktop Themes" and you can set your new cursor for whatever you want...I have the Scooby logo for "Working in background" and "Busy"

Enjoy everyone!

Well, if you're brave, you can get funky using your Registry editor. Note, you can royally bork you system messing with your registry, so do this at your own risk.

Go to Start ---> Run and type regedit

Now, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Control Panel, Cursors. Change (on the right) AppStarting and Wait to "C:\WINDOWS\CURSORS\sublogo.ani"

Do the same thing in HKEY_USERS, Control Panel, Cursors. Do the same stuff as above.

Rock and roll baby!

To all that succeeded: Did you do this in win9x/ME? Because there doesn't seem to be any HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Cursors or Desktop Themes on Win2K or WinXP

Conversely, you could try running a search in Regedit (F3) and searching for "appstarting" and "wait", and changing whatever is listed there to sublogo.ani - but again, I'll give you a definitive answer later on.

I copied the windows default key into a new subaru key and pasted "C:\WINNT\CURSORS\sublogo.ani" into the third and fourth spots of the key. Worked fine.

So, yes, it works on NT as well.

I have Me...
Go and save the cursor Windows>Cursor.
Then open Control Panel, click on Mouse, go to the pointer tab (on top) and click on browse to select the type of pointer you want...Busy, ..Background, etc.....
You should be fine...
