Default Tuned ECU's by Japanese Automotive

Japanese Automotive is now taking advanced registrations for Tuned ECU's.

Why buy a piggback ECU when the stock computer can be reprogrammed completely with the proper Timing and Fuel maps, while remaining OBDII compliant.

FYI: Yoshio is the only OBDII Certified ECU programmer in Canada.

Hi MixeD_MenacE

At this point, he is just doing this for the Local crowd. But in the future it will open up to all. (building a mods database)

Hypothetically,

The chain of events would be as follows:
Inform him of the list of mods on your car
Inform him of your intended usage (autox, drag, rally, circuit)
Remove and Package your ECU and ship directly to Yoshio
Yoshio programs the computer and ships it back to you. Sets timing and fuel maps, sets the options you want (Raised redline, removal of rev limiter, increased boost (turbo), etc.)

Expected turn around is next day return from original date of receipt.

Hope this answers your question.

Goose - go to the Toronto club website that Joe has posted the
URL for above. The cost depends on the number of people signed
up.

So he can tune a N/A ECU to use with a turbo car without too much piggyback? Can he reporgram a 99 RS computer to a 00 RS computer?

Hi Avenger,

He can completely re-map the ecu to address your specific requirements. If you added a turbo to your car, then the answer is yes.

Now about the other question "99 to 00" that is a tricky one that only he can answer. The 99 uses a MAF and the 00 use a MAP, if the ECU's connectors are identical and leads to the equivalent sensor locations, then I would hazard a guess that it would be possible.

Do you have a MY99 ECU that you want to install in a MY00 car?

Well I got a 99 computer for free and if I could get that reprogramed instead of sending in my 00 one, then I'll have no down time. I think I worked out most of the pins and there was a few differences in pin lay out so I guess it won't work.. Please keep up updated on the progress of this reprogram very interested if the price is right. If I knew earlier I would had gave my computer to my bro, he is in toronto right now. Thanks.
