Default Exhaust Question

Has anyone done a side dump exhaust on the n/a motors, I saw one done on a Jetta the other day. It looked pretty neat thought it could be a good idea, what does everyone think?

errr. Not a good idea for us. maybe for a turbo jetta or something, but not us. Plus, you gotta work with two cats and a muffler. Where would you route it to?

Well the Jetta I saw it on was a n/a VR6. If it were to be done the cats and muffler would need to be reduced to maybe just a single cat and small muffler. But what is it not a good idea?

if you want a side dump, why not just get a cut out?

too close to the tire can burn it, no joke, if you had a bodykit with the pipes coming out from it then that would be cool

I have seen this set up on other cars before, I couldnt see it burning up a tire. I dont think that I'll do a bodykit though.
