Question 2.2 Internals?

There has to be some internal work that can be done with my 2.2. I can't afford a WRX swap ( atleast right now). The "itch" is killing me.

Bolt on plans:
SPT CAI for RS "99-01" w/heatshield or Injen CAI for RS "99-01"

HKS Hi-Ti muffler with a little bigger then stock custom piping

KYB GR2 series struts Legacy "98" w/ Eibach Performance springs RS"99-01"

This is it so far......Its not enough.

I've heard delta cams are popular. never tried them personally.

ah!! better yet drop a 2.5 in between those 2.2 heads and run a high compression build! thats even more fun. Be cautious with raising your CR too high though.. I do know a kid that did and and succesfully ran cheap fuel with no problems.. said it had bad top end though... topped at about 100 or so.. probably because of the single cam heads or something. 0-60 was pretty quick but I dont have any exact times to back any of that up. sorry, ranting. Always wanted to do that.

Judging by your sig. you have the EJ25D. DOHC EJ25. You can get unequal length or equal length headers for that motor. The UEL have better boxer sound, while the EL have more power. But to get the best out of it you need to update/upgrade to a better mid-pipe exhaust section. Headers dont mean $hit if the stock exhaust is still there, I know...

Delta cams has been good to me, I run them in my motor. The heads run out of steam around 5500, but I have an auto. Of course I am using dual port EJ22 heads, which dont flow that well.
