Default WTB: Yakima Raptor (or other) bike rack attachments

Looking to get another bike rack attachment for my roof rack. I have one Yakima Raptor on there now, and I'd like another one. I'd consider other ones too (ones that require you to take the front wheel off, etc.) Not really interested in the older versions of the Raptor (Lockjaw I think? Not sure of the other one). Let me know what you have and how much you're looking to get. Thanks

Alex B

Alex,

I have one that I am looking to sell, I am actually looking to sell the whole rack setup but would seperate the bike mount from the base rack.

I believe what I have is the Steelhead bike mount which goes for $119 new. At this point I would be looking for $75 for it.

I am in CT and could probably meet up somewhere close to half way. If you are interested let me know.

Marc

Marc-

I will let you know about the Steelhead - thanks for the offer. I've got a lead on a couple attachments right now (one is actually a Steelhead also) so we'll see how those end up.

Sounds good. If you get it for less can you let me know? It would help me to price mine properly if I am on the high side.

Thanks

No problem. I've seen them going for around $50-$80~ so yours isn't way off or anything.

I have a Thule Big Mouth upright mount for sale, if you're interested in mixing brands.

I'm pretty sure it'll mount on Yakima round crossbars.

Hmm how big of a downtube can it hold? I'm getting it to use mainly to hold my brother's bike and the downtube on his bike is pretty big. Do you have any pics of it? What were you looking to get?

It will clamp onto any down tube, thus the "Big Mouth" designation. It had no problem holding the tube on my Rocky Mountain Slayer which is pretty goddamn gigantic.

It's a few years old but basically the same as the current Thule 599 XTR. I'm selling it 'cause I'm using a hitch rack these days.

I'm looking to get $75. New, they're $100+. Mine's in near-perfect shape and comes with a lock core and key. I don't have the pictures hosted anywhere, but pm me an email and I'll send you some.
