Default Low rpm knock?

I've been getting a bit of knock at low rpm during my pulls in 3rd gear. And when i was cruising on the highway in 5th it seems when i Step on the gas to change lanes or something or to go up a large hill i get knock between 2200 and 3800rpm. I'm starting to think that its due to a sudden rich cycle with the onset of boost?

I think it's more likely a lean spike due to throttle tip-in.

Get a WBO2 and log using the dedicated logger so that you can get a very high sampling rate.

Here's an example. It's a FMIC equipped stage 2 LGT. This car has a very tiny turbo, VF40, so boost comes on very fast.

The injectors are stock with stock tip-in values and this is what we saw when the throttle was opened suddenly. We would also get occasional knock when the throttle was opened suddenly.



We corrected this by doubling the slope of the tip-in table. This also corrected the knock at initial throttle input.

ok that makes alot more sence. Well i flashed back over to the stock map till my wideband and downpipe get here. I'll start reading up on the Throttle tip in some more. Thanks
