Question Invoice Dealers in Midwest (KC) area?

I plan on buying a WRX in the next 3-6 months, and am trying to find a midwest dealer that will give a near invoice price. The only posts I found about my local dealer(s) "Jack Miller Subaru" have been on the negative side. I'm seriously considering flying to NY to buy one at "Van Bortel Subaru" VANBSUB.COM if I can't get a decent price around here. I have read positive posts about them and like their flat price website.

Thumbs up Roper Subaru in Joplin

I just purchased a 2002 WRX through Roper even though I'm in Oklahoma City. I used the internet and my sales rep Jerry Hentz was great, they even deliver to your door. He was the lowest priced in my three state area. You may want to let him price one out for you. Wenz

Thumbs up Thanks for the reply

How cheap were they if you don't mind me asking? Did you contact them directly or go through some service?

If I remember, I went through Autobuytel.com or something like that. It was about $1k over invoice and the car had every option on it. As I said this was the best deal in my area after checking with 4 or 5 dealers. I did find one dealer that went $850 over invoice but that was on the West Coast. At some point in time you just got to go for it. My problem was that I wanted red and it had to be loaded. wenz

I am from the KC area, and have had some interesting experiances with Jack Millers Dealerships. I agree with the other poster though. I talked with Roper Subaru, and they were just quoting there cars 1k under what Jack miller was quoting for the internet price. Still right now 1K over invoice seems too steep to me. I have been hearing that 3-500 over invoice is a good deal. They have to move these after all as the Evo and the Sti are coming soon So if you want one get them while the prices are still low on them. The only thing that I might go and check back with Jack Miller is that they have about 17 WRX's between the two dealerships in KC. So I figure they got so many they must be willing to give up a couple good deals to get them off the lot. Let me know what you find, and what color are you looking for? Late
