Default WTT: SPT catback for STI stock + cash

My wagon came with the SPT catback already on it. I do not really want this on here at this time, it rubs on the diff protector, and I don't even want this particular catback when I do get ready to mod.

GONZO

I can perform all labor needed if so desired.

Thanks!

I thought the diff protector wasn't suppose to be installed with the SPT exhaust?

It's not, hence the rubbing!

No, I just thought they weren't able to be put on together. Sorry. My advice would be lose the diff cover, unless you really need it, and keep the SPT.

I don't know much about the Prodrive... how's it compare to the SPT in terms of loudness? Does it use the donut gasket? Round or oval tip? Any other info you think might be pertinent....

Thanks

Hows the new wagon treating you?

As far as the Prodrive goes, it is a tapered catback with the donut gasket I havent seen any that werent. Although it could very well be full 3" but im doubting it.

But it is also one of the nicer and tamer catbacks out there. It is probably a little louder than SPT but in my opiniong the 2 or 3 Prodrives ive heard are the best sounding exhausts. Not too loud and not too quiet.

But if your planning on modding I don't know as if youll want to get an exhaust with a taper, better off saving and getting a complete TBE.

Good luck!

Its got a round tip just like the STi exhaust & even though it sounds quieter than the SPT it also sounds like its a deeper/bassy tone to it. Im not sure about the gasket but I will call him on it.

here is a video clip of the round one for reference:

Thanks.
