Default Can you Jack an Impreza up using the Prodrive Diff Gaurd?

I just got a Rear Diff Gaurd from Prodrive. The instructions say not to use it as a jack point. Does anyone here have the Prodrive Diff Gaurd and still jack the car using the rear diff?

Why would Prodrive put that on rally cars if the end result is you cant jack the car up by the diff anymore?

Do you own this part?

The reason why Im asking is because the 2 brackets that bolt the gaurd to the chasis under the car are pretty flimsy.

The other end of the gaurd bolts directly to the diff and I dont see that being an issue but these metal brackets at the other end might just bend.

In fact that may even be the idea so if a huge rock hits the gaurd, the brackets under the car bend, thus absorbing the impact.

Does anyone who actually owns this part have any input?

What would baby
Jesus say of OT?

I have the thin Primitive one and lift it all the time. Just make sure you have something soft like wood or rubber between it and the jack.
