Default i need a service manual, pdf, haynes....

i cant seem to find a service manual for my 2004 rs 2.5. i've always got the haynes manual which are extremely helpful for all my previous cars. anybody got a pdf version for that car or know where to get one, or if haynes does make one for that model yet. i called the subaru dealer awhile back and they wanted like 55 bucks for it or something stupid like that, or is that my only option?

If all else fails, you can pay 34.95 and download the entire manual for your car. It does take some time to get it all though, but it's do-able.

i was just checking that site and they have everything except the 04 rs 2.5. but that seems worse than paying the $55. $35 just fer a pdf, then i would have to print out 300 pages. i was thinkin a pdf version might be free or like 5 bucks. good start though, thanks

NASIOC does not condone the "trading" of PDF file service manuals as they are copywritten. You could try some other sites that don't bother cracking down on pirated materials, like ebay.

It's not that they charge so much that's the ripoff, it's the way you have to download a million poorly named individual pdfs. I would glady pay Subaru for the same type setup on cd that you can get off ebay.

They do have the 04 info - basically there are different sections for the engine & tranny (e.g. one for the RS, one for WRX and one for STI):

72 hrs X 50 PDFs/hr = 3600 potential PDFs (assuming you have a pound of meth on hand )

jesus, i might start smokin crack just so i can fix my car. maybe if i just hit it with a hammer everything will magically be fixed. yeah, the pdf names nd things seem confusing and a pain to search without seeing what it is first. thats why i liked the haynes one's so much. they're easy to read through and find exactly what you need.
