Default Logger selections disappeared AND Load axis on maps now only go to 3.00 instead of 6.

Hi all. I've been checking out the old Enginuity site from time to time and see there are still challenges.....Thank goodness NASIOC can keep our life support systems going!

I rebuilt my laptop last week & downloaded the latest versions of defs, logs and enginuity & installed as per usual. I've got 2 issues now that I didn't have before & can't work out what I've got wrong. I even deleted everything & started again but no change. I'm hoping if I discuss the symptoms, someone will know what the prob is. Laptop is on XP by the way.

First, I re-scaled my maps a year or so ago to a load of 6.0. I checked they are still good via Ecuflash, and confirm they still go to 6.0 in Ecuflash. Enginuity only shows them going to 3.0. Why?

Second, if I fire up the logger, I can't see any selections in the left hand panes. No parameters, no switches and nowhere to select the LC1 which I could do before.

Plugging into the car's ECU does nothingto solve the prob., but at least the laptop is communicating with then ECU so no issue there. The car by the way is an 02 Aussie WRX.

Anyone got any clues to why it's doing this?

As far the load goes the units in the newer definitions changed to g/s rather than (g*2/s), so basically what was 6 in the old units now equals 3 in the new units...If you update the ECUflash definitions the change will show up there as well. I too experienced this abrupt change when I updated at the end of the summer after not using Enginuity for a few months.

As far as your second problem what version of Enginuity are you using?

remember the 16bit scale was 2*gms/rev versus the 32bit Ecus gms/rev (i.e it was effectively double) is this what you meant. Actually I think this was going to be or rather was standardised in the later releases. does that seem right
What version are you running ? one of the test releases yes ?
Cheers

Yes, you were running some very old defs if it doesn't show g/rev (v. 2*g/rev). You are also using a old version of Ecuflash.

As far as the logger, for LC-1 support you'll need to run one of the test releases (see FAQ). If you get no parameters in the logger, then likely you do not have the correct COM port selected (see dropdown box). If you tried all the COM ports and still nothing, then you have a driver install issue. If it is win OS then go to device manager, plug tactrix cable in, look under ports for openport cable, select update driver, select a specific location, choose x:\openecu\ecuflash\drivers\ where x: is the drive Ecuflash is installed on.
