any idea how much an empty 2.5 engine weighs? long block, no fluids.

120ish for the shortblock and a good 60ish for the heads, plus some change for the oil pan/baffles. You do the math

If you're looking at just the longblock it'll be around 200#. I weighed a Phase I DOHC last year, you can see the details here. Subtract the intake manifold and A/C compressor from what I got and I think you'd be in the 200# ballpark.
