I'm OK with not-free, so long as it's not-expensive.

I thought up a couple feature requests:

1) When cruise control is active, the accel/decel switches adjust the cruise speed, same as usual.
When cruise control is inactive, the accel/decel switches adjust the LC RPM.

2) Going a step further, you could hijack the cruise control enable button. It's useless, just have cruise control enabled all the time. My old BMW worked this way, it seemed weird at first, but now it seems silly to have an on/off switch for something that already has three ways to turn it off and two ways to turn it on. Pressing the cruise button could then be used to set the LC speed threshold, or something like that.

IF it's going to have a price, it won't be expensive

Say's your working on an 04 USDM STi rom as your first 32bit ecu prototype... If I'm not mistaken thats a 16bit ECU... The 05+ USDM STI ECU's are definatly 32bit though. I cant wait, thanks man.

I'm curious, are you attempting to implement FFS in the 32bit ECU's since they can see the clutch switch, or are you just sticking with launch control?

I think you can already implement FFS with some modifications of the tables.

You can, but it's TPS based and not very reliable. Having an acutal fuel/ignition cut between shifts is the proper way to implement FFS.

The fuel cut control is there. You have to adjust your rev limit enable and disable and rev limit fuel resume boost.

The ignition cut is something a little more complicated, but you can implement it if you have a flattened DA table.

Actually, I wasn't thinking TPS. However, I do lower TPS as a soft rev limit. I think one tuner doesn't even lower it.

I applied the patch A4SD900B patch and it works great! Thanks.

Has anyone experimented with how close to set the resume to the rev limit for best effect? I have my rev limit set to 8500/8400 RPM with a 3500 RPM delta. I'm wondering if trying something like 8500/8450 or 8500/8300 would be better.

I'll try to get a ideo later.

I don't think it's possible without the ability to know whether or not the clutch is engaged.

Correct. There is no way to reliably know if a shift is in progess without a clutch switch monitor in the ECU.

Guys, we're hijacking xsrwex's thread here... MickeyD2005 has elaborated on the table mods over in the RomRaider forums, let's take this discussion over there.

And thank you xswrex for starting on the 32-bit stuff.

Gah, I need to get a hold of a tatrix cable

Did you implement it in the 32bit OS the same way you did in the 16bit, IE speed threshold based, or did you do it clutch switch based?
