Default TV Show - Need steel perfomance parts & a car that has them

Hello everyone,

My production company will be doing a TV show on Steel for broadcast on a major cable channel. So I have a two part question:

1. What performance parts for cars are made of steel, I.E. exhaust, brakes, etc?

2. Does anyone have a car with these steel performance parts which they would want to show off on TV (needs to be in New England)?

Thanks,

Brendan

You need to do some research. Like a LOT.

SS exhaust will be your best bet for a common perf mod.

It gets hard to qualify a lot of performance parts as steel because there are a lot of alloys out there that may or may not meet your needs. People tend to ditch steel for aluminum when they go to a "performance" mod.

I'm not quite sure the basis for this statement. For some parts, such as springs & sway bars, there is simply no reasonable substitute for steel.

Default What i have so far- highly interested in NE aftermarket cars

True steel can be heavier, but it has great heat absorption, is strong, and if its stainless wont rust. 304 steel is not to heavy. Any Steel alloy would classify as far as i am concerned. I am highly interested in any after market Subaru's w/ steel parts in the NE area. It will help if you car is debadged as a Subaru Logo may bring rise to advertising conflicts.

Steel Parts I have so far:
Stainless Steel Exhaust
304 steel headers
steel brake disks, steel caliper pistons, & braided lines
Steel Safety Cage
Steel heat shield

^^Not sure how many brake (not break) rotors (same as discs, by the way) are made of steel. Usually cast iron is used.
